YLANG YLANG ESSENTIAL OIL

DESCRIPTION

Essential oil obtained from the flowers of Cananga odorata, a tree of the Annonaceae family, widespread in the rainforests of the Asian and South Pacific islands, known for its numerous properties.

The name Ylang-Ylang means flower of flowers. Women of the Philippine Islands used a few drops of this essential oil to protect their hair.

The perfume, sweet, sensual, floral and spicy, was widely used in harems for its aphrodisiac properties.

Calming when inhaled, Ylang-Ylang essential oil has a relaxing effect on the nervous system, alleviating anxiety, depression, irritability, nervousness and insomnia.

The essence is able to lower blood pressure and alleviate disorders generated by stress on the cardiovascular system, such as palpitations and tachycardia.

The cosmetic properties mainly concern the preservation of the integrity of the skin, the prevention of irritation and the anti-aging action. It also has soothing, firming and moisturizing effects.
